Limits Data, Reports and Dashboards to a “Need to Know” Basis.

The Yurbi App Shield adds a layer of data protection to Yurbi reports, dashboards and ad-hoc queries by allowing organizations to shield data from others.  Administrators assign security policies to users that dynamically apply to every report, dashboard or ad-hoc query.  The result?  Users only see the data you want them to see. 

Define security policies to limit user report capabilities

With Yurbi App Shield the security administrator can define security policies that determine exactly what information is displayed to the Yurbi user.  For example, an organization with locations in New York, Dallas, and Chicago can define security policies to ensure that users at that location can only see their location-specific information.  With App Shield, all users of the organization can run the same report and Yurbi will display only the information the user has access to view. In addition, each location can build their own reports and the App Shield will enforce your security policies ensuring that users only see the information they are allowed to regardless of the query or report they run.

Yurbi App Shield provides “field level security” of the data source.   Any element of a Yurbi App can be included in an App Shield security policy. 

App Shield Security Option versus Role Based Security Option

The difference between Yurbi’s App Shield Security Option and the Role-Based Security Option concerns data access.  App Shield protects the data itself whereas Yurbi Role Based Security Option protects users ability to use to see, run, edit, or delete a report or dashboard.   Yurbi App Shield Security option is not required to use Yurbi Role Based Security option but, if combined, provides a total secure integrated solution.

Once the Yurbi App Shield Security option is activated, the Yurbi administrator will have access to define security policies that limits the data that users can view in Yurbi reports, dashboards, and throughout the product.     

After applying Yurbi App Shield policies to users and/or security groups each user will see only the information they need to know,  even when running the same exact report or dashboard.
