Role Based Security Option

The Yurbi Role Based Security option adds a layer of access control to Yurbi reports and dashboards and allows organizations to define security groups and specific user permissions.  

With the Role Based Security option, organizations can protect specific reports, such as sales, customer and/or employee data, so only the users who should have access to that information, see that information.

Role Based Security Option versus App Shield Option

The difference between Yurbi’s Role Based Security Option and Yurbi’s App Shield Option concerns data access.  App Shield protects the data itself whereas Yurbi Role Based Security Option protects users ability to use to see, run, edit, or delete a report or dashboard.   Yurbi App Shield Security option is not required to use Yurbi Role Based Security option but provides a total secure integrated solution if combined.

Once the Yurbi Role Based Security option is activated, the Yurbi administrator will have access to define security groups and assign individual users specific permissions related to their library folder and report permissions.     

After applying Yurbi users to security groups and granting permissions they apply throughout the entire Yurbi platform and secure all library folders, reports, and dashboards.

Examples of how Yurbi Role Based Security can be used:

• Designate a folder in the Library as only accessible by a specific security group or set of people.  (i.e.  members of the Sales Group can only see reports in the Library specific to Sales,  Human Resources can only see HR reports, etc.)
• Limit users to “read-only” view of reports and Library folders so they cannot delete or modify data
• Delegate management of Yurbi Library folders and reports to specific team leads
